New Season for Wind Ministries

We're making a big move! Discover what's next for Wind Ministries and how you can be a part of it.

When it comes to life and following God, the Father will always be a few steps ahead of you.

We cannot surprise him.
He is already where we will be.
He has prepared each step before we take it.

Each step of the journey serves to convince us what he has already forged deep within our inner man. And there is a glorious treasure in each of us waiting to be discovered.

I am learning that while this is what each of our hearts cry for, it is incredibly difficult to walk out in humble vulnerability. Jesus entrusted himself to the Father in every facet of life. We are always fumbling in our attempts to look like Him.

When we moved to the east coast of Canada in 2017, we came with the heart to equip the body of Christ. While we set out to see transformation in prophetic ministry, the past seven years became an intensely personal time of growth, challenge, depth, and transformation. We were stretched on every level. Along the way, we caught a glimpse of the Father. That fledgling desire to see change in prophetic ministry has become something wilder than we had ever considered.

The desire we sense on the Father’s heart is to re-frame how the church sees leadership training paradigms in their entirety. While we long to see prophetic reformation, we have come to the conclusion that it is the affection of a team and not the function of a team that transforms culture and trains leaders. Erin and I (and Wind Ministries) will be joining a team of like-minded friends looking to cause a shift in how leaders are trained, equipped and sent. Many of us are members of CMA (Christian Ministers Association), a Canadian leadership and ministerial licensing organization.

We long for leaders who are forged in the tenderness of the Father. Leaders who do not seek to produce disciples of a system, but lovers of God. We envision leaders that are marked by humility of heart, tenderness of heart, affection for the Father and each other. Leaders that are culture-building kingdom-visionaries, moving in the power of the Spirit, convinced of their anointing and call, with no regrets about giving it all to follow Christ.

This requires an eco-system that gives people a place to thrive and grow. It can never be simply about a building, ministry, or school. It is so much bigger than that.

Both Erin and I have felt for a number of months our time on the East Coast is complete and a move has been coming. It has not been a decision we have made lightly. Through a combination of dreams, visions, prophetic words, quiet moments with the Father, and expressing the longing of our hearts to each other, we have come to the present moment. The Father has been leading us to return to British Columbia.

We are planning on making the move before the end of the year. To help make the transition, we are looking to you, our friends, family, and followers. There are the two areas of need.

  1. The first is the move itself. Moving across the country comes with significant costs. There are expenses such as shipping our household items, the cost of traveling, and renting a new space.

  2. The second is in monthly support. Financial needs range from launching a new endeavor, supporting our family, and getting situated in a new area. If the Lord begins to prompt and stir your heart towards us, would you prayerfully consider donating towards either of these areas?

We have almost reached our fundraising goal to move Wind Ministries and the Hoffert family. We just need your help to push it over the top!

To give towards the move itself, donations will be processed through one of the organizations that we are working with. Visit this link and simply make a note that the donation is on behalf of Erin and Josh:

Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to us express our heart. Much is changing in the body of Christ. Old wineskins are crumbling, and the pressure is great upon many leaders, ministries, and churches.

The Lord rarely asks you to do something that is within your ability to accomplish. And this time is no different. However, we sense the Lord on this change. We love walking with each of you as we hang on to Him and follow in His footsteps.

Blessings,

Joshua, Erin, the Hoffert family, & the Wind Ministries Team
